Pam Adikson: Volunteer Cordinator
Pam began her position with Douglass Community Services in October of 2011. She is very excited about her new role as CASA Volunteer Coordinator at DCS and feels privileged to be a part of such a wonderful agency in the Hannibal community. As the CASA Volunteer Coordinator, Pam will primarily be responsible for recruitment, training and supervision of approximately 15 CASA volunteers.
Pam has been married 21 years to Rev. Dr. Stephen Adkison. Pam and Steve have two wonderful children, Hannah (16) and Joshua (12), both students at Hannibal schools. Pam attended college at Arkansas Tech University in Russellville, AR where she graduated with a BA in Sociology with an emphasis in Social Work. She worked as a Child Protective Services Worker in Louisville, KY before relocating to Magnolia, Arkansas where she worked for several years as Director of Student Ministries in the Presbyterian Church. In July of 2008 she and her family moved to Hannibal, Missouri where her husband began serving as Senior Pastor of First Presbyterian Church. Since moving to Hannibal she has worked locally with Children’s Foundation of Mid-America (Formerly known as Presbyterian Children’s Services) as the Mentoring Coordinator for at-risk children and youth and case manager for a residential home for boys in foster care. In her leisure time she enjoys reading, cooking, traveling, working with the HHS Choral Booster Club, children’s ministry at her church, her 3 cats (Allie, Harry and Hermione), and most importantly, spending time with family.
