Thank you to everyone who supports Douglass Community Services CASA

Donations

While CASA programs in Missouri do receive some support from State funding, more support is always needed to maintain and expand our local programs. Your generous donations can help provide the children of Missouri with a better chance of receiving the services they need and a better chance at a successful long-term placement. Your monetary donations are always welcome and can be made through the secure link found below. Donations can also be mailed to the Douglass Community Services CASA at the address listed on the Contact page. The Douglass Community CASA is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and your donations should be tax deductible. Please consult your tax professional if you are unsure.

Children in Crisis Tax Credit

The Children in Crisis Tax Credit provides potential tax credits of up to 50% of the amount donated to qualified CASA programs.  Donations of $100 or more to Douglass Community Service - CASA qualifies for these credits. The tax credits are applied directly to the amount of Missouri income tax due and are available to individuals and business entities. This tax credit includes a 5-year carry forward provision if not used in the first year. This is one of the easiest tax credits to receive.  All you have to do is make the donation to CASA.  You will then receive a Children in Crisis tax credit form from CASA indicating your total donation.  You then submit this form when you are completing your taxes.

We ask that you consider being the light of a child’s life. Your donation will be allocated for that child’s best interest and will specifically go for mileage reimbursement and telephone expenses for advocates who volunteer their time. If you donate more than $100 you are eligible to utilize the Children in Crisis Tax credit, as described above, at the end of the year. Please use the PayPal button below.

Further information about the Children in Crisis tax credit is available through the Missouri Department of Revenue's website.  There you will find copies of the CIC form and eligibility information.  Go to www.dor.mo.gov, click on "Taxation", click on "Tax Forms", then under "Miscellaneous" click on "Tax Credits (Eligibility & Contact Information)", then click on "Children in Crisis" ("CIC").  Your tax advisor can provide the best advice for your tax situation.
